About Squid Mom

Here’s the lowdown–
•I’m a mother with three daughters–they never turn down a new dish–and a spoiled lap dog (who’s always asking for more in his dish).
•After spending my graduate days delving into the likes of Virginia Woolf, Mary Shelley, and Jane Austen, I find myself drawn to YA fiction now. Yes, I’m a Twilight fan, but I also like other escapist series like Fablehaven. I temper my YA reading list with the occasional thriller from Daniel Silva.

•I’m a wannabe marathoner (when they change the course length to 5 miles I’ll be set) and a bosu fanatic.

•As a freelance writer, my writing has appeared in a variety of regional and national publications. I’m also a contributing writer for MetroParent magazine in Detroit and a former contributing editor at BabyZone.com, a division of Disney.

•For me, cooking isn’t just about eating, it’s creative expression in it’s purest, yummiest form.
